Birthdate:
May 20
Family info:
I have been married to my beautiful wife Sarah for 10 years. We have a wonderful daughter named Riley and two very busy sons, Aricin & Kael. Most of our extended family live in California, but we felt it was important to get out of there before it falls into the Pacific.
My ministry:
I am responsible for the climate and culture of worship at Christ Community Church. I actively seek to engage every person at CCC in a spirit of worship, connecting people (their gifts and abilities) in areas in which they are passionate. My desire is to see people know and serve the Lord in life-transforming ways. My love of the arts (music, drama, painting, dance, video, etc.) drives me to see these God-given gifts used in and throughout the body of Christ, particularly at Christ Community, but ultimately throughout Greeley and Northern Colorado.
Few people know:
I have been delivered from drug-addiction and the lifestyle that one might associate with giving Satan that type of foothold. I am always willing to talk with anyone about the mistakes I have made, and how Christ alone can change your heart and life concerning addictions of any kind.
Favorite food:
Feed me STEAK, cooked over a low flame! Also, I am REALLY fond of peanut-butter, chocolatey goodness. Reese's will ALWAYS get you further than a kind word.
Favorite verse:
It is hard for me to pick simply one scripture, so read these and meditate on what the Word says to His people.
Isaiah 6:1-8:
In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!" And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: "Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!" Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for. And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."
John 4:23-26:
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." The woman said to him, "I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things." Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am he."
Colossians 1:15-23:
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven.
If this is not enough for you to consider, please read the entire first chapter of Ephesians, as well as the entire book of Colossians. This will take you about thirty minutes, and you will be blessed!
