Favorite verse:
Psalms 19:14: "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." God has used this verse in the past, and is still using it today, to teach me about the hearts of people and the importance of building relationships with them. God reminds me through this verse that relationships begin with how I value people. The worth I place on an individual is expelled through my body language and the words that I speak. He nudges me when my words are harsh, uncaring, or unwise, and when my body language doesn't agree with the words that I am using even when my intentions are good. He also uses this verse to remind me to seek His knowledge and wisdom throughout the day, because in myself, I have no knowledge or wisdom to expound upon. May God be glorified by shutting my mouth when it needs to be shut and continue to quicken my heart when I meditate on things that are not pleasing to Him.
