Families Where Grace Is In Place

/files/Images/Adult Ministries/Grace Book.jpgYou're a Christian parent trying hard to do everything right, yet you feel tired, discouraged and a failure. Why is that?  Often the primary cause results from focusing on a spouse or child's behavior and attempting to control it. Trying to transform or "fix" a family member will eventually leave you exhausted, depressed and wanting to bail out of it all.

The Families Where Grace is in Place workshop, based on the book by the same title by Jeff VanVonderin, provides a different approach based upon the relationship-transforming power of God's grace. The first step is learning the simple difference between God's job and yours. God's part is to fix and change. Your responsibility is to depend on the Holy Spirit, serve your family, and help to equip them to be all they can be.

As you filter your marriage and parenting through God's grace, you'll build healthier family relationships, harmony, and happiness at home.

This workshop is led by Christ Community Elder and Pastoral Counselor (and father and grandfather), Joe Smeltzer, in partnership with his wife Candy.
