ABOUT US

STAFF           VALUES           AFFILIATION           BELIEFS

Christ Community is called to love and serve the people of Greeley. Our desire is to see lives awakened and transformed spiritually as we embrace the Gospel, experience the fruit and power of the Holy Spirit, and engage in God’s Kingdom mission. A relationship with God through Christ brings hope, purpose and renewal to individuals, families, our city and our world.

VALUES

Embracing the Gospel

We believe that the foundation of the Christian life is the gospel—the good news that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, enabling anyone who places their faith in Him to become beloved sons and daughters of God. Jesus invites us to live every day in this new identity, which brings joy, peace, personal transformation, as well as wholeness of heart.

Experiencing the Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit has been given to every believer in Jesus and that we can enjoy and cultivate an intimate friendship with Him—hearing His voice, being filled with His power, experiencing the fruit of the Spirit, being empowered for ministry, and being enfolded into a loving community.

Engaging in Mission

We believe that God invites each of His followers to join Him in His mission to bring His love and truth to a hurting world. Our belovedness as sons and daughters of God as well as the presence of His Spirit within us compel us to move with His love toward lost, broken and hurting people all around us.

AFFILIATION

Christ Community Church is an evangelical Christian church. Our statement of faith aligns with the traditional Apostle Creed. Read our complete statement of faith. Christ Community is associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. However, “free” means we are an independent church. We are self-governing and don’t “report” to a denomination.

CHRIST COMMUNITY BELIEFS

God

We believe that God is completely holy, the creator, ruler, and sustainer of the universe, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant word to us and our ultimate authority in all matters of life and practice.

The Human Condition

We believe that every person is created in God’s image but is marred by sin and in need of salvation, inner healing, and hope to become fully alive and to accomplish their God-given purpose here on earth.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is our perfect, only, life-giving Savior, offering salvation, forgiveness, and redemption to all who repent of their sin and place their faith in Him.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in all who have placed their faith in Christ. God’s Spirit fills us, speaks to us, helps us, pours out the Father’s love into our hearts, and empowers us for life and ministry.

The Church

We believe that the church is God’s forever family and brilliant plan to enfold the hurting, to make disciples, to reach the lost, and to bring restoration to our broken world.
