Sponsor a child today through compassion international

Our church family gets to participate in an awesome opportunity as we walk in love and make a continued impact for a community in Peru, as well as sponsor the children there through Compassion International.

For a child in poverty, sponsorship will mean access to food, clean water, medical care, educational opportunities, age-appropriate Bible teaching and you. When you choose a child and commit to his or her care and support, you have the power to change everything for that child.

Just as God has chosen us, you can choose a child to love and disciple! To sponsor a child, click the button below to see a specific list of children in the region of our adopted site that are waiting to be sponsored.

North Parking Lot

To bless our guests who need closer parking, starting August 11th, our north lot on Sunday mornings will be reserved for seniors and those with special needs. In addition, several new temporary handicap spaces will be added to this lot.

If you are not a senior or an individual/family with special needs, we encourage you to use the Greeley Central High School parking lots. These are just one block southwest of the church’s south entrance door. Street parking around the church, being careful not to block neighbors’ driveways, is also okay. Jesus tells us that we can have peace. He regularly reconnected with that peace by taking time to remove himself from the chaos and be still. He shows us that not only is this a valuable practice but that it’s actually possible.

If you have any questions or for more information, please e-mail Pastor Stetson at stetsonb@cccgreeley.org. Click the button below if you’re interested in being a part of this.

Nations & Neighbors: Understanding Immigrant and Refugee Journeys that Lead Diverse People Groups to Resettle in Northern Colorado
Did you know that there are over 7,000 language groups in the world today? Through current events and tragic circumstances, people from 45+ language groups have found their way to Weld County. Come learn a broad overview of the global refugee crisis, and how that filters down into the nations who stream to Northern Colorado. We’ll highlight specific language groups and how our community partner, the Immigrant and Refugee Center (IRCNOCO), is working to serve these populations well as they navigate their new home here. Come learn how IRCNOCO services reflect their mission to EMPOWER. CONNECT. ADVOCATE. Together, let’s grow in our capacity to love the nations and our neighbors well.

Presenter: Georgia Coats
Georgia, along with her husband Steve, have been serving with SIL International in diverse immigrant and refugee communities for 25 years. Volunteer in the café!

Have you ever thought about volunteering at our church lobby Café? Current volunteers would tell you that it’s a lot of fun and a great hospitality opportunity! You get to make lattes and serve tasty treats to our church family. It’s only open on Sundays, so you could volunteer for either the 9am or 11am service. This role does require some training on the espresso machine, checkout process, etc., but it’s not complicated.

Please reach out to Caity at caitys@cccgreeley.org if you are interested in volunteering or if you have any questions.

The Prayer Room

At CCC, we love to encourage prayer as a vital part of our walk with God. We recently rededicated the Prayer Room off the 15th Street Café and Sanctuary as a welcoming space for prayer for individuals or groups during the week. Any scheduled prayer groups for the room will be posted outside the door, and individuals are welcome to come use the space freely for prayer during church office hours, 9am-5pm, Monday-Thursday (church access available via the south, office entrance).

If you have a prayer group, we ask that you reserve the space ahead of time by emailing Abby at abbyb@cccgreeley.org.

the power of story

Stories are one of the most powerful ways to inspire connection with one another, and we want to celebrate the stories in this church family. Your story matters and can be an incredible encouragement for someone else. We know God is doing amazing things in the lives of the people here at CCC, and we want to celebrate and share these stories.

If you are willing to and want to share what God is doing, or has done in your life, please click the button below to begin sharing your story. No story is too small or too big. Everyone has a story…let us celebrate yours.

become a stakeholder

Members, or what we refer to as our stakeholders, provide a critical foundation for this church body. Anyone who attends Christ Community is part of this family. We welcome you and love being a part of your journey with Jesus. You are family here. But in order for this family to thrive, we need a group of stakeholders. Stakeholders are a group of people who love Jesus and who love this church, and who want to officially commit themselves to this church’s vision and to be a part of owning that vision. We have put together a simple online process for anyone who wants to officially become a stakeholder of Christ Community. If you are interested in exploring becoming a stakeholder, please click the button below to begin.

If you are already a member/partner of CCC, feel free to watch the video and read the information on our Membership page by clicking the button below. You do not need to re-apply to be a stakeholder. If you are not sure if you are already a member/partner, you can check by emailing caitys@cccgreeley.org.

Zoe’s Study Buddies

tuesday nights through may 31
7 – 8:30 pm
zoe’s cafe

Kinyarwanda, Tigrinya, Somali, and Rohingya are just a few of the languages our students can welcome you with! We are a group of 8-12 high school and middle school students looking for one-to-one academic tutoring. Coming from various language backgrounds, these teens need extra English language support, specific to the subjects they are learning in school. We are looking for academically minded, faith-oriented individuals interested in building cross-cultural relationships within our Study Buddies community. In addition to our Tuesday night one-to-on tutoring in subjects like English Language Arts, Algebra, Biology, Geometry, Physics and U.S. Government, we have periodic cooking nights where our young friends can share a taste of their cultures with us. Also, we could always use a few more prayer buddies who are interested in lifting these teens up in specific ways. Typically, we pair a tutor with a student who has a specific academic need, so study buddy pairs sometimes shuffle from week to week within the group. If you’re interested in stopping by Zoe’s Cafe on a Tuesday night to see what we’re all about—Welcome!

Please e-mail Georgia with questions and for more info at farmerandcrown@yahoo.com.
