Angry for the Right Reasons
September 20, 2026
Is anger always a bad thing? In 1 Samuel 11, we see one of Saul’s healthiest moments as king—when his anger over injustice moves him to protect others, while he refuses to let personal offense turn into bitterness or revenge. In this message, we explore the difference between righteous and unrighteous anger and what our anger can reveal about our hearts. What is fueling our anger? Is it rooted in love and a desire to protect others, or in fear, judgment, hurt, or self-protection? As we bring our anger honestly before Jesus, it can become an opportunity for God to work both in us and through us—moving us toward justice, healing, forgiveness, and a deeper reflection of His heart.
