Pastor of Worship & Creative Arts
Michael Brymer
The Westminster Shorter Catechism says this: "What is the chief end of man? The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever." It is the greatest commandment to love God first and to love people second. It is the highest calling of the believer to minister to the Lord first and to minister to people second. We exist for Him alone. And in Him we are empowered to live out the Christian faith. Michael's life has been shaped by this truth and how it pertains to worship. 2 Peter 2:4-7 says, "As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says:
'See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.'"
The church is a holy priesthood of believers called to minister before the Lord.
Michael says, "Over my twenty years as a musician, worship leader and worship pastor I've never strayed far from these truths and perspective. It is the conviction for why I do what I do. It is my greatest joy to serve Him and His church in this way."
